Description:
Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for the supervision and care of children in our preschool program. This includes providing direction for the classroom and implementing age-appropriate program curriculum, following a daily routine, completing observation reports and supervising children. This is a part-time year round position that will transition to a Teacher in our Summer Kinder Camp. This position will begin early August 2023.
Responsibilities:
· Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities promoting social and emotional development, as well as cognitive, cultural, education, language, and recreational activities
· Coordinate physical activity indoors and outdoors
· Use a SmartBoard and other technologies
· Maintain order and discipline, enforce rules
· Effectively communicate with parents, Aide, and all program staff
· Maintain organization with recordkeeping, attendance, academic progress
· Obtain and maintain a current CPR & First Aid certification

Requirements:
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Associates degree in Early childhood or Child development or related field
· Experience teaching preschool children in a classroom setting
· Knowledge of children ages 3-5 years old
· Working knowledge of early childhood development and NYS Early Learning Guidelines
· Must have ability to obtain TB Test, Medical Physical, Fingerprinting clearance, background check, and any other qualification as per NYS OCFS
