MAKING COMMUNITY IMPACT FOR GENERATIONS TO COME

Since 1887 the Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area has been a cornerstone in our community. The longevity of our organization and its ability to impact generations to come is due, in large part, to our endowment.

As of 2015, the Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area’s endowment is at 1.7 million. This endowment, built by the legacy gifts of past contributors, supports financial assistance and scholarships for local children, families, and individuals in need. The Y’s endowment fund is invested and we only use the return on investment.

The Legacy Club was established to honor individuals who have made a commitment to provide for the future of our YMCA. With a planned gift to the YMCA endowment, Legacy Club members help the Y sustain financial assistance for future generations.

A gift to the endowment fund is one of the strongest statements of support that a friend of the Y can make. Your planned gift helps ensure that the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility endure and that Y programs will positively impact our community for generations to come.
