Requirements:

• Must have 1-2 years practical experience and a strong interest in the health/wellness or related field. 
• Yoga instructor certification from a nationally accredited organization preferred. 
• Must have and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications. 
• Must be alert and aware of signs of exercise-induced distress. 
• Well-organized and prepared to teach classes. 
• In good physical condition to teach group exercise. 
• Ability to think independently and develop routines for teaching specific exercise classes. 
• Ability to adjust to a variety of fitness levels and be able to offer modifications if needed. 
• Must understand and contribute to the mission of the YMCA to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. 
• $12-$14 / hour.
