Before & Afterschool Childcare Staff 2023-2024 School Year

Description:
Childcare Staff are responsible for assisting the Site Director in general supervision of the children and planning and implementing a program in accordance with goals and policies of the YMCA After school Care Program. Through the demonstration of your actions you will be a Role Model of the 4 Core Values of the YMCA: Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty.
Afterschool Care opportunities- Currently serving Queensbury, Lake George, Hudson Falls, Kensington, & Jackson Heights.

Requirements:
- At least 16 years old
- Experience working with children under the age of 13
- Warm and friendly personality
- Willingness and ability to engage with the kids in various activities including physical activities
- Ability to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, along with the ability to relate well with children.
- Ability to comply with all state, OCFS and YMCA regulations that are associated with the After-School Care Program, including but not limited to in-service training and current COVID guidelines.
- Available for Holiday Camp when school is not is session and scheduled school half days
Hours:
After School Care: 2:40pm – 6:00pm (Hours will vary based on enrollment)
