Preschool Program

At the Y we believe that early childhood education is critical to your child's development. Guided by our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, our professionally trained teachers combine learning with play in a student-centered, hands-on learning environment, preparing your child socially and academically for success in the future! 

Morning Program 

  Our morning Program concentrates on providing a first classroom learning experience in a warm and caring environment. It promotes socialization, play and open exploration. Activities will include: Sports / Gym time (both taught by specialized instructors), weekly musical learning games, arts & crafts, block play, dramatic play, music and literature. Also including outside activities and special events. Geared for 3 and 4 year olds who will be starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2025. Children must be toilet trained to be enrolled in the program.  

Time:

Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Cost:

Members $295 per month / Non-Member $325 per month. 

Afternoon Program (Kindergarten Reediness)

 Classroom activities include language arts & sight words, pre-math, Music, arts & crafts. It also includes gross and fine motor development through Gym time featuring sports and gymnastics (both Taught by specialized instructors).

Time:

Monday - Friday, 12:30pm - 3:30pm 

Cost:

Member $320 per month / Non-Member $351 per month

Program Schedule

Our Preschool is a school year/school schedule program, starting in September and ending in June. The programs located at the Glens Falls Family YMCA and follow the Queensbury schools academic calendar. 

Registration

Registration is now open to all families. At the time of registration an active youth or family membership is required, as well as the first monthly payment which is nonrefundable. All subsequent payments are due 30 days in advance, on the 25th of the month. To learn more about our generous financial assistance program click here.
