Wellness Center Programs

WOMEN on WEIGHTS - Take your workout to the next level with other women. This group strength training class is designed by personal trainers to learn the basics of free weights, gain a better understanding of strength toning, and develop camaraderie with a small group of women. 

COUCH TO 5K PROGRAM - Ready to run? Not sure where to start? Join us for our NEW 6-week Couch to 5K Program to help you progress to running 3.1 miles. You will receive a workout each day that will help in building your stamina and strength. We will hold group runs along the way! The program will end with a race to the finish line at a local 5K event. Member Rate- $125. Register Today

ACTIVE LINXX - Active Linxx is a computer-based system designed to truly guide and assist members to maximize efficiency of their workout. The unique interactive coaching feature on each piece of strength equipment remembers you seat settings and adjustments, range of motion, and weight lifted to ensure a safe and effective workout every time. MASTER YOGA WORKSHOP - Join Yogi Heather Prindle for a Two Hour Yoga Workshop on Saturday, April 24th from 10am-12pm. Bring a Prop or Two from Home to help you in class. Member Rate- $40.00. Register Today

FOREVER STRONG - Referral based membership designed for adult cancer survivors who have recently become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from their treatment and/or disease. Our goal is to help cancer survivors during their recovery at the Family YMCA of the Glens Falls Area.  We offer a three month referral Family Fitness Locker Room Membership for those in recovery from the C.R.Wood Cancer Center of the Glens Falls Hospital.  The membership includes all the benefits that those with a Family Membership receive for the discounted price of $50.00.  Please contact Andrea Montejano, Senior Membership Director for more details.

PERSONAL TRAINING -These 60 minute private sessions are great for those searching for extra guidance on how to create and commit to a health & wellness plan.  Whether you are searching to lose weight/tone up, work on athletic performance, or train for that first 5k Our Certified Instructors will work with you at your own pace to develop a plan!

CHOOSE to LOSE - The Choose to Lose Program is a 12-week fitness program to help you lose weight, establish healthy lifestyle habits, gain muscle and lose body fat, stay accountable while developing the skills to keep you aligned with your wellness goals.  Each week during the program will include an exclusive group workout held on Monday evenings and a small group workout with a certified personal trainer held at various times Tuesday-Friday to offer the flexibility needed for a busy lifestyle. These small group trainings offer you more individualized attention, support and guidance through your journey.  The program includes Support & Share Meetings which are held bimonthly to reinforce your new habits with educational workshops to share tips, ideas and strategies as well as address any concerns along the way. (Program is Currently Paused due to COVID-19)

NOONTIME BASKETBALL LEAGUE (NBA) - If you enjoy basketball and have your lunch time free—join the NBA today! Players are adult members of the Y. The program format is organized games of pick-up basketball.  League includes gym usage and a jersey.

45 & OVER LEAGUE - Enjoy a workout, while playing some hoops. Games are pick-up style with players of varied skill levels for anyone 45 and over. League includes gym time and jerseys

RACQUETBALL/HANDBALL - The use of the racquetball courts is free to members of the Y and a day pass is required for the General Public. Glens Falls YMCA members can reserve a court up to 24 hours in advance.

PICKLEBALL - Enjoy this fun new cross sport in the YMCA’s gymnasium. Monday - Friday 5:15 am – Noon and Saturday 9am - Noon. You will need to make a reservation by team!
