Leaders in Training

Entering grades 10 & 11

Today’s Teens are Tomorrow’s Leaders!

At the YMCA, young people are given the opportunity and responsibility to develop leadership qualities in a supportive environment through the Leaders-In-Training (LIT) Program.  L.I.T’s are mentored by Y staff with a special emphasis on leadership, communication, job readiness, and college prep among other things.   L.I.T’s registered for the Week 2 session will also be certified in First Aid & CPR.   Along with the session themes listed below L.I.T’s will also work on one service project as a group per week and also work with the 5 Tribes Counselors and campers!

These weekly sessions allow teens to explore all areas of the Y while building the confidence and skills necessary to enter the work force, be part of a team, and strengthen communication!
