The YMCA Preschool 2010 - 2011

Morning Program
Mon-Fri, 9-11:30am
For 3* or 4 year olds who will be starting Kindergarten in Fall 2012.

*Children who are 3 years old by December 1st 2010 and toilet trained may be enrolled in this program.

This program concentrates on providing a first classroom learning experience in a warm and caring environment. It promotes socialization, play and open exploration. Activities include: weekly swimming lesson and recreational swim time, sports & games, arts & crafts, block play, dramatic play, music, finger plays and literature. It also includes outside activities, occasional fieldtrips and special events.

Our Five Day AM Program also features an
introduction to Music with Myrtle the Musical Turtle.

Afternoon Program
Kindergarten Readiness
Mon-Fri, 12:30-3:30pm
For 4* or 5 year olds who will be starting Kindergarten in Fall 2011.*

*Children who are at least 4 years old by December 1st, 2010 and toilet trained may be enrolled in the program.

Classroom activities include language arts & sight words, pre-math, music, arts & crafts, finger plays and fieldtrips. It also includes gross and fine motor development through gym time featuring sports, gymnastics & dance. Weekly swim lesson and recreational swim during class time is also included.

Our Five Day PM program also features:
Musical Education twice per week with Myrtle the Musical Turtle.

During music time our students learn:
Pitch and Vocal Development
Beat and Rhythm Development
Expression Through Music
