A summer literacy program for children entering 1st and 2nd grades will launch in the summer of 2016. This was made possible through the generosity of the Himoff and Powers Families. Subsequent, unique programs will be offered to assist youths to succeed, connect them with area higher education, connect them with area business leaders as mentors, and provide the basic necessities like food for the hungry. Community input will be sought to identify these programs and services. If you are interested in getting involved please contact the Y.

For all of our returning members we have all the ways we can help you get healthy, stay fit, meet people or just decompress and recharge. Rejoin the Y in December and we'll waive the Joiner's Fee. All we ask from you is to bring in a non-perishable food item as a way to "pay it forward." All food items collected will be donated to local food shelters. Our pay it forward promotion helped so many local food shelters last year that we decided to keep the giving back spirit alive!
